Our family decided on two puppies from Martin’s Double E Kennels. We are so glad we did! I was looking for a Bichon Frise and my husband wasn’t sure what he wanted. I was not in agreement to get two puppies at once but guess who won that argument!

The sweet Bichon girl I picked was named Rachel. She was the only female Bichon puppy there at the time but she was perfect! I had a lot of healing to do as my Bichon Prissy had died a couple months earlier but I was ready to try to fill that void with a new Bichon. We had to wait a month to bring her home so she was old enough – that is one thing I really liked about Martin’s Double E Kennel – they don’t send these puppies home so early! Poppet (her new name!) has been a blessing. She is so cuddly and just sweet as can be. She likes to follow me around and whines when she can’t get to me. Her favorite spot (when not on my lap) is on the back of the couch! She loves ice cubes and carrots! She loves everyone and is a “licker!!!” The grandchildren adore her as she is so friendly and loving. She definitely is my baby and I love her with all my heart!

Then there is sweet Sadie (formerly Cheryl). Sadie is a Havanese. My husband picked her out. He walked through the kennel which was a very positive thing about Martin’s – they didn’t say we had to stay out. He saw “Cheryl” and we all thought she was adorable. We didn’t know anything about the Havanese breed so Erla gave my husband some things to read while we were there to get an idea what she was! She made her way home with us a couple weeks later! She is a riot! So friendly and energetic. She’s intelligent – learns quickly. She loves everyone. The grandchildren also adore her and enjoy her. She is not so much the lap dog – she will sit with us and then move and then come back. Her world is too exciting to sit still for too long! Her fur is beautiful – I’d like to keep it longer because it flows so pretty but you know how they get knots and I don’t spend the required amount of time it would take to keep it long. She’s a very happy addition to our family. She is our family dog and we all love her!

Having the two puppies together has been quite comical. They love the outdoors but are quite happy being inside. They love each other so much. They play like crazy together but don’t forget their people! We’ve had them just over a year now. They are healthy little dogs that make our everyday lives so much better! So glad I found Martin’s Double E Kennel on the Internet when I went searching for a puppy!

Meet Gideon – a precious, naughty and nice Hava-Lhasa who came into our life last November. He just turned a year this month. I totally agree with others who have written about their puppy experience with Martin’s Double E Kennel. It could not have been better. The kennel was immaculate! When we arrived I asked to see 4 puppies and told Erle the names of the puppies. She immediately brought three of them introducing them by name. I knew within a couple of seconds who was going home with us. Little Gideon who stayed back and was quiet. Erle asked if I still wanted to meet puppy number 4 but we both knew I’d met my new buddy. So Gideon remains Gideon and the quiet and in the back thing didn’t last for long. He has doggie cousins and is amazingly social. We go to the dog park daily and he loves the really big dogs. And did I mention rain – he loves rain and puddles.

Meet Reginald (miniature schnauzer), Wally (cocker spaniel), & Huck (schnoodle). These three are a fine example of the quality pups you breed. They are best friends & are a great trio. These breeds get along great & blend together just perfectly. The one of many things they have in common are that they are hilariously funny! The laughs they bring to our family are priceless! Couldn’t imagine life without these three comedians.

I’ve have only had Biscotti (Sarge) for two days now but because I have received a horrible article on kennels operated by the Amish people I wanted to write about Martin’s Double E Kennels.

I admit I emotionally picked out my Biscotti based on his gorgeous photograph when he was about six weeks old. I researched Martin Double E and found no bad reviews. I then read the testimonials and read nothing but rave reviews on the puppies. I was impressed that the Martins do not ship their dogs. Based on other fees from other puppy websites their prices are very reasonable; so going to get the puppy seemed a fair thing to do.

I had to make a trip to Europe and Erla worked with me so I could pick up Biscotti after I returned. She promptly responded to all my inquiries. Prior to my going to get him she answered all my questions, timed a veterinarian visit to coordinate with his flying time.

When I arrived at their Martin’s farm I was delighted at the beautiful scene. It was one of those gorgeous days with a beautiful blue sky and gorgeous white clouds and corn in the fields. Their farm is pretty as a picture. Going into the kennels; everything is immaculate. The puppies are beautiful; so beautiful I tried to figure out how to take more than one home with me. My Biscotti was such a happy little guy following Erla every place she went and settling down between her feet when she worked on my papers. You could tell immediately he had been well socialized not only by Erla but her little nephew who was there at the time.

Biscotti was car sick going back to Harrisburg and again in the shuttle going to the airport. I emailed Erla last night when we got home and told her he wouldn’t eat. After 6:00 P.M on a Friday night she promptly emailed back with suggestions.

I cannot recommend the Martin’s highly enough. I am convinced I now have “the world’s most perfect puppy”.

This is our Gracie…which was your little Sarah that we picked up in April. She is so sweet and we couldn’t be happier having her join our family! She is very smart and full of spirit and she has wrapped us all around her little paw! Thank you again for the wonderful experience and Gracie thanks you for her new home!

Hi just wanted to say thank u for our beautiful Wheaten Scottish terrier we got Sassy we renamed her Harper we love her she’s a very Happy girl and being spoiled.
